Former President of Sony Europe Joins Splashpower Board

Cambridge, UK May 18, 2004

Splashpower Ltd., the dynamic company offering a unique wireless power solution for portable electronic devices, today announced the appointment of Michiaki (Mike) Tsurumi, the former President of Sony Europe, to the Splashpower Board of Directors as a Non-Executive Director. In his most recent position as President of Sony Europe, which he held until April 1st this year, Mr. Tsurumi oversaw 13,000 employees with a turnover of  8.5billion and was responsible for the sales, marketing, manufacturing and R&D of Sony Electronic Products.

Mr. Tsurumi will play an active role on the Splashpower Board, providing top-level strategic direction to the company.

In addition to his role at Splashpower, Mr. Tsurumi continues to hold the position of Sony Corporation Advisor, working on projects assigned by Sony management in Japan and Europe.

Prior to his position as President of Sony Europe, he held a series of key positions in USA, Japan and Europe where he managed broadcast and professional system business and Sony's portfolio of media companies such as Sky Perfect TV.

Mr. Tsurumi was educated at Keio University, holds a law degree and has been with Sony for 40 years.
